December Doings

Decorating for Christmas is such a special time for me.  I love to take out all the sentimental things as we are putting them up around the house and remember the stories behind them.  This year Caleb wanted to hear where all of our decorations came from.  It was a lot of fun telling him the stories from our past.

I love this picture!  Here are the guys deciding how they should put the lights up in the bushes.

Hard at work putting things up.

After putting the lights and ornaments on the tree, Caleb helped Dada to put our cross on the top of the tree!  Not sure yet, how we'll make it fair for both boys to take turns, but I'm sure we'll think of something.

Ethan thought he would help with some of the work too!  Such a boy...already loving the power tools!

One of our family traditions that we love is to go for "light walks" in the month of December.  We bundle up the boys (if it happens to be cold) and walk around the neighborhood at night admiring everyone's Christmas lights.  Not only are these two boys adorable, but their hats are fun too!  Caleb wearing UW Huskies, and Ethan wearing Houston Texans (can you tell we have family in different places?)

Crawling Ethan has finally figured out how to crawl under the table.  I remember when Caleb learned to do this not that long ago!

One day Caleb and I attempted to make a "Graham Cracker Nativity" that Aunt Amy had found on Pinterest and shown us.  It was a lot of fun, but of course Caleb's favorite part??  Eating all the candy!

We made Mike's mom a calendar for Christmas this year and I needed a cute picture to put on the December page and had Caleb pose.  I think he did a great job being cute.

Ethan is much harder to pose for a picture, so we took dozens of shots before we got this one.

One evening we decided to eat dinner in the living room so Caleb and Dada could enjoy watching the Texans' game that was on.  Ethan was very interested in what Caleb had!  If only Ethan was interested enough to actually eat any of it.  (What a fun picture!!)

I just had to add this picture in, though it happened at the end of December.  Doesn't he look like he was having fun?  He was!
