After being nudged by several people I realized it was time to begin our own family blog! Just a little disclaimer...I won't be consistent, so I may go months and months without a post. Sorry for those of you who thought I was going to get better at keeping up with things.
Since September, Caleb and I have been having "preschool" twice a week here at home. (Well, honestly, it hasn't been twice a week since December, but I do try at least once a week!) This month we're learning about snow and so after a book and journal about snow we painted with it!
Here Caleb is painting with the "snow" mixture (glue and shaving cream).
After painting the whole piece of paper, Momma decided to let Caleb play in some shaving cream! (We played in some "insta-snow" last week which was also a hit, though it doesn't pack, so it's a lot more like dry sand when playing with it!) Too bad we can't visit Grandpa Grothe and Grandma Jan in Washington and play with some REAL snow! Maybe they can send us some....
We wish Caleb was here to play in the real stuff. His looks like fun, though! - Grandma Jan
ReplyDeleteLove your new blog!! Good work, Kati! :)
ReplyDeleteWay to go! That looks like fun. I can't say that I remember ever painting with snow. I thought that was what you used to get down mountains on a couple of flat slats...or a sled.
